The aim of the action "Research - Innovate 2021-2027" is to strengthen Research and Innovation, which is fully aligned with the country's strategy to place innovation at the center of a sustainable and resilient recovery from the pandemic, to accelerate the green and digital transition and ensuring the technological development of Greece.

It is an action of strategic importance of the "COMPETITIVENESS" Program, of the new NSRF 2021-2027, which was designed as an evolution of the successful Action "Research - Create - Innovate" implemented during the 2014-2020 programming period, utilizing the experience and lessons learned. It is part of Strategic Priority (Axis) 1 "Strengthening research and Innovation" and Special Objective 1.1. "Development and strengthening of research and innovation capacities and exploitation of advanced technologies (ERDF)", and is co-financed by the European Union and in particular by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Greek State.

The Special Service for the Management and Implementation of Actions in the fields of Research, Technological Development and Innovation (ΕΤΕΤΕΤΑΚ) will continue to manage the Action as an Intermediate Body in the new programming period as well.
The first 2 priority sectors include: 1. Materials, Construction & Industry and 2. Tourism, Culture & Creative Industries.

Therefore, the proposal is assessed as being implemented.
