Improvement of licensing and zoning procedures for manufacturing companies. Parallel strengthening of environmental controls.

APPLIED

Evaluation

Part B', Chapter B', of Law 4796 of 2021 deals with issues of licensing and siting of manufacturing activities and Storage and Distribution Centers, as well as issues related to the development status of Business Parks and the establishment and operation of businesses within them . With Chapter C, an attempt is made to bring industrial property rights under a single body and to create a specialized organization capable of playing a wider role at the level of international collaborations and initiatives, being able to serve the trademark applicant more efficiently, contributing to the development of the country . With Chapter D', issues related to registrations and publications of companies in the General Commercial Register are dealt with.

Licensing issues of manufacturing activities and logistics activities are regulated and outstanding issues related to the development and operation of the Organized Receptors of Manufacturing and Business Activities are resolved.

Also, with article 32, the area of the informal industrial concentration of the Asopos River, which extends on both sides of the Athens-Lamia National Road and around the Municipal Unit of Oinophyton of the Municipality of Tanagra of the Regional Unit of Boeotia, constitutes the largest informal industrial concentration in Greece, the which needs environmental and operational remediation, due to the need to restore the Asopos river basin and the natural environment of the area, as well as the chronically anarchic zoning of economic activities in it.

Therefore, the proposal is assessed as implemented.
