Evaluation

According to the Annual Action Plan 2022 of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport's goal is to reform the transport project and transition to new forms of mobility with the following actions:

Creation of a new institutional framework for the planning, organization and operation of public regular long-distance and urban road passenger transport networks.
Institutional and financial restructuring of metropolitan urban transport.
Urgent urban transport projects.
Establishment of an institutional framework for the establishment of car sharing, car pooling & car on demand.
Reform of the institutional framework for the circulation of passenger cars for private use (P.I.X.) of vehicles that hire a driver.
Promoting mobility in the urban and peri-urban fabric and ensuring a better quality of life for all (National Disability Action Plan).
Implementation of measures to facilitate the mobility of Persons with Disabilities in urban transport (National Action Plan for Disabled Persons.

Furthermore, as of October 2022, the extension of metro line 3 (blue) has been completed and connects Athens International Airport with the port of Piraeus.

Therefore, the proposal is assessed as partially implemented as improvement actions are ongoing.
