APPLIED

Evaluation

Law 4842 of 2021, and especially Chapter A, aims to substantially improve the quality of the justice system in our country. This goal will be achieved through the smooth operation of civil litigation with the application and use of modern technologies.

Furthermore, PD 6 (15/01/2021), in article 10, provides for the operation of the E-Government Directorate with the aim of the operational implementation of e-government and e-justice policies by implementing project programs and supervising the project management teams of paragraph d of article 1 hereof, collaborating with co-competent services and bodies for the analysis, design, development, implementation, technical support and smooth operation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) systems for the computerization of the workflow of the Ministry's organic teams and supervised bodies, redesigning and simplifying administrative procedures through the use of ICT and providing integrated electronic services to citizens, businesses and public administration bodies.

However, the provisions of the bill do not provide for the acceleration of digitalization, nor the universal use of the new relevant systems.

Therefore, the proposal is assessed as partially implemented.
